Gemma studied composition and experimental sound practices at CalArts under sound artist Michael Pisaro. After graduating, she engineered at Stones Throw Studios and earned a Grammy for her engineering and vocal work on NxWorries’ WhyLawd? album. She later trained in London with producer Marta Salogni at Abbey Road Studios.
As a composer and sound artist, Gemma has been commissioned by the Alliance for Women Film Composers, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Human Resources LA, and the Mike Kelley Foundation.
As a model, Gemma has been photographed by notable established as well as emerging photographers and featured in LA Record, She Shreds Magazine, and for Maki Maki clothing brand.
